Using DRUPAL for your website

You can get either a drupal or a wordpress website installed as part of our $100 Website package. This is an example of a DRUPAL website.

You can think of DRUPAL as the motor of your website, the machine that works invisibly to power your website. The outer appearance of the website is created by something called a THEME, and there are many many themes available for free, and many more premium themes that you can buy if you decide you need a more unique look.

If you look at the sidebar (and it can be either to the right or left), you will see a random theme button, and a theme switcher. You can experiment with these to take a look at examples of themes. There are thousands of free themes available, and many of those free themes can be customized with an hours work to be even more unique to your website.

Drupal has a reputation for being rugged and dependable, and less vulnerable to security breaches - that is, to hackers - than most other website scripts. If you want a trouble free low-maintenance website, I would say DRUPAL is your best choice.

And, it was designed from the bottom up to be a membership community website, so if you want your visitors to be able to join and log in in order to see your best content, or to build any other kind of membership community, DRUPAL is considered to be one of the best possible choices.
